Five things you need to do to use a GLP-1 one medication (such as Wegovy or Mounjaro) safely and effectively
Understand your body composition
Musculoskeletal mass, peripheral fat, visceral fat.
The number on the scale doesn’t tell the story.
BMI is inadequate. MRI is gold standard, but cost prohibitive. DEXA is the next best. Impedence using an in-body score is excellent & cost-effective.
Second: optimize your nutrition, your exercise, your sleep, and ideally hormones. Don’t start if you can’t get these Pillar’s of health in order.
Eat Protein- aim for 1 gram per pound of ideal body weight. Eat throughout the day.
